1997 Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider – Motorbike Bicycle
1997 Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider
Let’s start another urban myth. A woman named Sheila Boyle once told the story of their 1975 Super Glide. He said way back in the mid-seventies, Willie G. Davidson (HD-Vice President of Design and member of the royal family) to visit her husband and then store Harley, Harley-Davidson West, then the largest in the world. Supposedly, when Willie G. adjusted to reduce the super Glide with shorter shocks seen sitting and other custom items in his mouth. Sure enough, one or two years later became the Low Rider was born.

Myth or not, has in 1977 Harley-Davidson Low Rider was introduced at Daytona Bike Sunday. Dubbed the FXS, it is the first “factory custom” Harley who will then include Bad Boy, Road King, Fat Boy and Heritage Springer epic. Offers a low seat height is the first Low Rider included white letter tires lift, drag bars, mag wheels and two-to-one often copied slash-cut exhaust. Bicycles are an instant hit, inspiring Willie G. and staff to create even more custom models – a trend that continues today.
In the eighties, the increase in HD rubber-mounted FXR chassis to replace aging FX line still attached. Of course, FXRS Low Rider with a model. This Low Rider is adorned with two disc brakes, pop-up seat for easy access and low rise bar battery. With the migration to the FXR platform a more significant development came from the Evolution engine.
The shovelhead – Harley disturbed during the seventies, with the machinery deteriorating rapidly. In 1984 triggered the introduction of all-alloy evolution (or fool) almost all the suffering Shovelhead engine (with advanced features like a better oil, seal tightly through new tools and easy maintenance), while retaining the same general appearance. It took some time to drop the stigma Harley and vulnerable to oil hole, but her image seems to have swung ’round the circle.
Welcome to the nineties, and the Dyna chassis. The Harley-Davidson Dyna CAD model of the first design and featuring an advanced insulation system of the engine. The new set-up allowed more engine shake at idle, but less in terms of speed, that while the vibration-free highway driving mirror (and seats). It is on the opposite FXR slightly muted but pervasive atmosphere. When the FXR fell into extinction in 1995, is a humble Rider FXDL Dyna Low Rider, which was renamed and given a new skin.
For those of you who are familiar with the current Dyna platform, you can skip the next paragraph. Eighth for the rest of you Dyna neophytes. Chassis Low Rider shares all the features and faults of his brothers. The Dyna-frame is a kind Harley-frame version of the perimeter. Unlike all other HD frames, it has no means of crossing the pipe between the engine and transmission – only one ring of steel around the entire engine / transmission. In stock configuration, it performs beautifully, but still as much in the stock Harley?
Performance in a modified form, Evo engine will tend to solve the case of major enclosed inner stress due to this section in the config “completely isolated” from the bike. Fortunately, the solution in the form of aftermarket motorcycle bracket for right side with the torque of the engine, bored stroked, or modified produce proliferation has been developed.
Another nightmare Customizer can be found in a beautiful full fenders, which stretches almost all the way to the rocking chair. When lowering a Dyna, fenders cut and painted to prevent catastrophic damage to this section if you come to a boil. Other key positions included taking nit silly in the back seat on the right side, passenger pegs, which looks like an afterthought or excessive vibration during idling of the engine insulated very loose.
At the top of the Dyna chassis has a higher stiffness that increases FXR predecessor for better handling, dampen vibrations at high speeds (as already mentioned), plus a hidden crossover tube in the exhaust rubber-mounted and easy electronic access.
Low Rider motorcycle is out of money to tradition, when it was first introduced in 1977, and remains so today.
